You have seen the unthinkable fantasy, Fantastic Voyage, where microscopic machinery and people enter the body to repair damage to an individual. You have also read about how close to reality it may very well be. The creation of Micro-machines which CAN repair damage and act as factories in our body may not only help repair the body but improve it's function as well. Fiction is not far from fact!

Imagine if technology progressed to the point that we could produce miniature 'subs' that allowed us to travel through the human body; And even better, companies could offer the average citizen the opportunity to explore the inner body! That is going to be your task for this project: Design a tour of the body, specific to a particular organ system. Describe the organs you will visit, the tissues you will see, and the kinds of activities you will witness within those organs. Your group will design a poster (brochure) that will describe this 'Fantastic Voyage' in detail. In doing so, you will have described the structure and function of your groups organ system. Although accurate information is necessary for a good grade, creativity and imagination is also vital. Make the Anatomy and Physiology 'facts' conform with the spirit of the exercise. Alternatives to a poster can include creating computer presentations (ex. PowerPoint) or creating a web page (site).
